Hi, all! Winding down on (what is for me) Sunday evening, after a nice dinner with family.
I wanted to share with you what I have started to think of as our own personal, in-house, pop-up art gallery. Our fireplace mantel is covered with things that my son and I have made. It has become our space to display some of our current works. Every few weeks we rotate a few new things in. It’s ever changing. Combined with the wall above our fireplace (which has some purchased art, but also many photos my husband or I have taken, and a painting done by a friend) it can be a bit busy, random, and haphazard, but we like how lively it is, and it represents many of the things we love. And now, if you will excuse me, I need to go and straighten every single picture hanging over the mantel 😉
Until next time…
What a lovely big mantel you have – perfect for displaying your achievements. Ours is too teeny, but I am planning a collection of pictures above it to make it more of a focal point.
When we moved in I was very excited about the mantel…I had not had one before! The downside is that it also collects a lot of random stuff like husbands keys, pens, grocery receipts… 🙂
A tiny one collects the random stuff too and there really isn’t room!
Very nice! That is a wonderful collection of work 🙂
Thanks so much! It’s been fun putting it all together 🙂
I love your wall gallery. I do the same thing on walls all over my house. I think they make a house a home and nice conversation pieces.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thanks so much! I agree, they do make a house a home. I figured I could not go wrong by grouping some pictures and things that I love together 🙂
Wonderful gallery – I love all the color with a few black and white touches!
Thanks, Holli! It was fun to put together, and the cool thing is that almost everything has some special meaning 🙂
