First, you may have noticed that I have changed the format of my blog yet again. I think I am happy with this one, although it requires going back into the previous posts to set a “featured photo.” Luckily, I have not been at this blogging thing too long so I should complete that work soon (fingers crossed.)
Not a lot of arty crafty stuff going on this weekend. We are currently visiting my husbands parents in Spokane, WA for the weekend. My in-laws have a fascinating assortment of antiques and cool old stuff that I never get tired of investigating. The thing I love about my in-laws is that they actually use a lot of these antiques, and they aren’t too afraid to let the little one touch and investigate a lot of this stuff too. So rather than a collection of precious untouchable items that are only to be looked at, we get to interact with them, feel their history, and talk about them in a meaningful way.
My son and I spent some time this afternoon going through an antique button collection and found some treasures that I thought I would share with you. I could have stayed in there exploring and photographing buttons (and brooches, and cuff links, and hat pins!) all day. Pretty magical.
