Whew, the past few weeks have been a whirlwind (I use that word a lot to describe my life) of activity. I have been a neglectful blogger, that is for sure. But I have been keeping up with what you all have been doing, and I have to say, what a super creative start to 2013! You all impress and inspire me.
I have been plugging away at LifeBook, trying some different styles on for size, exploring new ways of doing things. I’ve had mixed feelings about the results so far, but it is all part of a process, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn from all of these amazing LifeBook instructors.
This week’s less is one that I am really taken with though…the instructor’s style is free-wheeling, messy, unstructured, and so to me, it’s also a blast. Thought I would share where I am right now, which I would say is only about 30% done. Already I’m feeling a deep affinity for this piece, and I am so excited to see where it goes!
To make this I played with wrapping paper, torn up maps and sheet music, washi tape, junk mail, coffee bags, acrylic paint, alcohol ink, and Sharpie. No paint brushes were harmed in the making of this piece. In fact no paint brushes were used. Finger painting! Yea!
Hoping to finish this one up this weekend, so I’ll update with some new photos then 🙂
