“Love is messy, beautiful, and perfectly imperfect.”
I stared this off as just a drawing with carefully colored in triangles to form the heart (modeled after a paper heart I saw on Pinterest) But I was not comfortable with the perfection of it all (who am I?), so I covered it with water and let the ink run, then flicked some more ink, and then more…and yeah.
Then it was time to write something (because I had always planned a “lovey” type quote off to the side…see I plan sometimes!) I loved the heart, I loved its flaws, and loved how it was messy, and vibrant. So I started playing around with words and that was what came out. And, I love how messy and imperfect the writing is too. I find it infinitely cool that the word “perfectly” looks so not-perfect.
Basically, the whole thing is a big ball of imperfections, and I love it. I’m sure there is some grander meaning underneath all of this, something about how it relates to us as humans. But for once, instead of looking for it, I’ll just enjoy the fact that it is there to be found some other time.
Its Friday night, and its been a long week…off for a big glass of delicious red wine 🙂 Goodnight all!
