Using the technique outlined in my earlier post, I did a few more faces. I have been calling these “cheat” paintings because the paint goes directly over a photograph. But I am learning that it takes more to make the painting actually come to life, a real attention to detail; and I love studying the face to find ways to highlight and accentuate the most interesting features. I love both of these faces so much! I hope you like them too. And thanks to Matt for being a “model” for me. It was crazy fun to paint your face!
To make these I played with Neocolor water soluble crayons, water soluble pencils, and Sakura Gelly pens, washi tape.
