This Life Book exercise was all about letting go, not feeling the need for things to be perfect. Getting a little wild. I loved this project, but of course I did not follow the example precisely. Lately I go where ever a piece leads.
My theme (as it emerged) was more wild abandon, being free, and not being constricted or held down by preconceptions. Also maybe a little about letting go of the fears that keep us as artists from exploring and growing, while at the same time being true to ourselves. So the damaged heart has wings, and the “rainbow” tells us to stay the course by writing the truth on our hearts. Wow, heavy.
To make this I played with acrylic, water color, neocolor crayons, alcohol ink, acrylic ink, sharpie, sakura gelly pens, pencil, various papers, washi tape, neon pink duct tape, modge podge and gesso (whew!)
