So you may recall from the last post that I was in a collage frenzy. I felt so inspired by my renewed love of collage that I started working on what I hoped would become the cover of my latest journal.
In the end I decided not to use it as the cover, but there are many things I love about this. If pressed to pick my favorite thing I would have to choose the chevron pattern made from a reflective mailing label I pulled off a package I received for work.
The best (and maybe worst) thing about collage is that I see possibilities in every scrap of paper, label, flier that comes my way making it virtually impossible to let some things go into the recycling 😉
My next post if a LifeBook post, and its a powerful one for me. Something new that ultimately contained a message I needed to hear. Can’t wait to share it with you.
To make this I played with various papers, mailing labels, washi tape, alcohol ink, acrylics, sakura gelly pens, pencils, stencils, sharpies, water color pens, gesso, and stamps.
