Updated! Map Madness: Doodling on Iowa

Update: I added some color to this doodle creation.  Thought you might like to see it.

Original post below:

Just wanted to give a quick Sunday “hello” and to share a doodle I did today on a map of Iowa. No particular reason it was Iowa. That page just had a nice space to doodle on. I used to be a mad doodler, but it has been years since I have doodled seriously (and yes, something called doodling can be quite serious!)

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. On to Monday!

  1. That looks even cooler with color! Did u use paints or ink to add the color? LOVE!!

    1. Thanks! It’s all Dylusions inks, either sprayed or dabbed on, and then blotted off with paper towel.

    2. I should also say that the darker inks like blue were diluted with a bit of water 🙂

  2. This is doodling that turned into art – love it! Doodling is really great for practicing drawing skills with no pressure … =D

    1. Thanks so much! I appreciate the follow, too! Looking forward to checking out your blog as well 🙂

I love this! I’m a little jealous of your seemingly casual creativity. It’s really inspiring.

    1. Thanks! That is a huge compliment, especially from such a crafty girl like you! I loved looking at your wedding photos and seeing all the things you made the last several months in action 🙂

    1. Thanks so much! That means a lot to me 🙂
